Maneesh Sharma is a Bollywood film director. He started his movie-making career by working as an associate and assistant director on a number of Yash Raj films such as Fanaa, Aaja Nachle and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He made his debut as a director with the very successful film Band Baaja Baaraat (English title: Bands Horns and Revelry) in 2010 starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. He has also directed Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011) and Shuddh Desi Romance (2013). For his first film, Sharma won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director.
