Biography : A veteran actor of the Malayalam film industry, Mohanlal’s name is Mohanlal Viswanathan Nair. Known for his versatility and natural finesse, Mohanlal is considered as one of India’s finest actors. He made his acting debut with Manjil Virinja Pookkal. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. His notable movies are Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, T. P. Balagopalan M.A., Padamudra, Aryan, Vellanakalude Nadu, Ulsavapittennu and Chithram, Iruvar and Company as well as the recent ones - Drishyam, Lokpal . He has received innumerable awards, including the Padma Shri. Mohanlal has acted in over 320 Malayalam films and produced over 35 films and sung over 30 songs. He has done theatre and television too. His business ventures include film production and distribution, restaurants, etc. He resides in Kochi, Kerala, and is married to Suchitra. He has two children Pranav and Vismaya. Pranav has already embarked on his acting career.
