Nithya Menen is a film actress and playback singer, who works in the South Indian film industry and has done films in Tamil, Malyalam, Telugu, Kannada and English languages. Menen started her career as a child artist in the English film, The Monkey Who Knew Too Much (1998). The 2008 off-beat film Aakasha Gopuram, marked her debut in a leading role with Mohanlal. She next made her Kannada debut with the hit film Josh essaying a supporting role for which she received rave reviews. Menen's other notable movies are Ala Modalaindi, Urumi, 180/Nootrenbadhu, Violin, Veppam , Ishq, Karmayogi, Aidondla Aidu, Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty, Ustad Hotel to name a few. In 2013, she starred in three Telugu films, Okkadine, Jabardasth and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (in which she played a character with two shades). Her upcoming movie is Okay Kanmani which is a bilingual movie being made in both Tamil and Malayalam. Nithya Menen is also a good singer and has done playback singing for several songs.
