Pankaj Tripathi is an acclaimed Indian film actor who is popularly known for his role in Gangs of Wasseypur. He has worked in more than 60 films and 60 television shows. He has worked in various films including Fukrey, Masaan, Stree, Bareilly ki Barfi, Newton, Fukrey Returns, and many more. For Fukrey Returns, he won National Film award in special mention. Pankaj Tripathi was born in a small village named Besand in Gopalganj district in Bihar. His father works as a farmer and priest. After graduating from the National School of Drama, Tripathi moved to Mumbai in 2004, and earned a very small role in movie Run. In 2012 he worked in Gangs of Waseeypur and was critically acclaimed for his role as a a Sultan Qureshi. His audition for film went on for 8 hours. Worked in a hotel in Patna where Manoj Bajpai stayed during a shoot.He met him the next day and later realized has forgotten his slippers.Pankaj Tripathi kept the slippers for himself as a memory from his senior actor.
