POOJA HEGDE

Biography : Pooja Hegde is a model and actress. A former beauty pageant contestant, she was the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 competition, before going on to make her acting debut in Mysskin's Tamil superhero film Mugamoodi (2012). She has since featured in the Telugu films Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda (2014), and is the lead actress in Ashutosh Gowariker's next venture, Mohenjo Daro (2016). Her 2014 Telugu release is a romantic-action film Mukunda. Pooja Hegde was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Pooja's family belongs to Udupi, Karnataka. In addition to the Hindi language, Pooja also has complete knowledge of Tulu, English, Kannada, Tamil. Pooja was fond of fashion and modeling since her college days, hence she used to participate in all these competitions from school and college days. Pooja was eliminated from the competition in 2009 when she reached the half position of Miss Femina India. After this, she again applied for Miss Universe India competition in the year 2010. She was the second runner up in this competition. After this competition, she got a chance in South Indian films. She started her career with the Tamil film Mugamodo with actor Jeevathe. She then appeared in the Telugu film Oka Laila Kosam opposite Naga Chaitanya. In 2016, she appeared in the film Mohenjo Daro with Hrithik Roshan.
