Preetika Rao is the younger sister of Amrita Rao. She is an actress, writer and model. She was a journalist and wrote regular columns for leading newspapers. She made her acting debut in the Tamil flick Chikku Bukku in 2010. She then did a Telugu movie called Priyudu. She quit work in India and went to New York Film Academy to stude scriptwriting. She came back and starred in the TV serial Beintehaa as Aaliya Zain Abdullah, which is quite popular currently. She received the Best debut award at Zee Gold Awards 2014.
