Rajit Kapur is a well known actor (both movies and theatre) as well as a director. He is most famous for his portrayal of the detective Byomkesh Bakshi in a television series of the same name based on the character created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay and directed by Basu Chatterjee. He has also acted in the Malayalam film Agni Sakshi.
