RAKHI SAWANT

Biography : Rakhi Sawant was born Neeru Bheda. She adopted her stepfather’s surname Sawant later. She made her Bollywood debut in the film Agnichakra as Ruhi Sawant. She started doing dance numbers in films and did small roles in Masti and Main hoon na. She garnered attention after her appearance in music video Pardesia. She has been constantly in and out of controversies, be it Mika Singh’s attempt to kiss her or her stint at politics. She is largely seen as a sex symbol in the media. She participated in the first season of Big Boss. She even had her own reality show called Rakhi ka swayamvar where she selected a Toronto-based businessman Elesh Parujanwala to be her husband. They were engaged on the show but separated later. She continues doing item numbers in movies and dance shows. She founded the Rashtriya Aam Party to contest elections but quit it after she lost. She has now joined Republican Party of India.
