His debut movie was Chirutha and after that he has acted in films like Orange, Rachcha and Naayak. He made his Bollywood debut with the remake of Zanjeer opposite Priyanka Chopra. But the movie flopped disastrously. Ram is also an entrepreneur. He is on the board of directors for MAA TV and owns a polo team called Ram Charan Polo Riding Club. In 2013, he ranked 69th on the Forbes List.
