Sameera Reddy was introduced on screen in ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas's "Aur Aahista" music video in 1996. She caught the attention of Bollywood and was cast in a pivotal role in the 2002 Hindi film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya followed by Musafir, Darna Mana Hai, No Entry, Taxi No 9211, Race, to name a few. She has also done supporting roles and dance numbers in many films. Reddy appeared in the Tamil film Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) directed by Gautham Menon, opposite Surya Sivakumar, which was a blockbuster. Reddy's acting and modest portrayal of a confident and down-to-earth girl earned her rave reviews. She has also acted in Malyalam, Kannada and Telugu movies. She has two sisters who are into showbiz. Sister Meghna Reddy is a former VJ and supermodel, and Sushma Reddy is a Bollywood actress and model.
