URMILA MATONDKAR

Biography : Urmila Matondkar, the very famous actress in Hindi film industry, started off as a child artist, noticed for her appearance in Shekhar Kapur’s Masoom. She has worked in few Tamil and Telugu films also. Urmila's first role as a child artist was in 1977 in the film 'Karm'. She did a great job in movies like Satya, Rangeela, Judaai, Bhoot and Khubsoorat as well as Pinjar, Pyar tune kya kiya, and Ek hasina thi with Saif Ali Khan. She has proved her versatility throughout her career. Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara was very well received, and she won her second Award for Best Actress. She was seen in the second season of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa as a judge along with Jeetendra and Shiamak Davar. Urmila was born in Mumbai. Her father was a lecturer and her mother tongue is Marathi.
