Vandana Pathak is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films, stage and television. She is popular for her role as Jayshree Parekh in the Khichdi franchise; as well as her antagonistic role of Gaura in the soap opera Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She has played many Gujarati roles in Indian serials. Pathak was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India on January 26, 1976. She is the daughter of Gujarati actor Arvind Vaidya. She made her television debut in 1995 with the sitcom Hum Paanch, where she played the role of Meenakshi Mathur. She went on to star in several other popular sitcoms, including Khichdi (2000–2004), Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale (2007–2010), and R K Laxman Ki Duniya (2011–2012). In 2015, Pathak played the role of Gaura in the soap opera Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. Her performance as the villainous Gaura was critically acclaimed and she won several awards for her role, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role. Pathak has also appeared in several Hindi films, including Apne (2007), Gumnaam (2008), and Right Yaaa Wrong (2010). She has also starred in several Gujarati films, including Chalo Gujarat (2012) and Hello Zindagi (2017). Pathak is married to writer-director Neeraj Pathak. They have two children, a son and a daughter.
