Nothing gets us more thrilled than a good line-up of movies at the screens. Ask the cinephiles, there is nothing like a film fiesta that highlight stories that need to be told. Even for people who talk about it for their living (read us), creative juices are flowing during the times when there is no dearth of content. Backed by strong, driven performances, of course. Which is exactly why we can't contain our excitement for the following releases of the year.
If you have somehow missed the memo, big-budget movies will soon fight and clash at the box-office for glory and the names around the same are pulsating, to say the least. Case in point- Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, Simmba that will feature Ranveer Singh and debutante Sara Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's experimental project Zero and Thugs of Hindostan that will bring Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan together for the first time. And while we are not allowed to pick any favourites, you, on the other hand, have the full liberty to go all out. In fact, you can cast your vote for the flick that has you waiting with bated breath. Where would that be? Right here, right now! But before that let's dive in:
Zero is being directed by Aanand L Rai, known for films like Raanjhanaa, Tanu Weds Manu. Shah Rukh Khan will be leading the cast while he plays the kind of role he has never done before. The movie sure has the potential to dwarf all the releases of the year. It will be releasing on December 21. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh star in the YRF production that is Thugs of Hindostan. It is being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the man behind the success of Dhoom 3. It is slated to release on November 7.
On the other hand, 2.0 is being directed by Shankar and is about Rajinikanth’s Chitti, the robot from Enthiran, who is brought back to fight a Crowman, played by Akshay Kumar. While we are at this, Simmba is a remake of 2015 Telugu blockbuster film Temper and is being helmed by Rohit Shetty. So which one are you rooting for?
Tick tock! Make the vote count.
