Moreover, his intense chemistry as Neil Khanna with co-star Aditi Rathore aka Avni in Star Plus' Naamkarann has made his fans go gaga. Thus when this much loved daily soap got its last telecast date on May 18, fans were left disheartened. Twitter was flooded with fans' heartbroken posts. The first is that Naamkarann will possibly get an extension for few more months. Though it is not yet confirmed, but if the makers see an increase in the TRP, then may be the channel will hold the thought of pulling the plug on this show and run the show for some more time. Moreover, there are chances that the show will have a change of time slot just like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The other news that is doing the rounds on social media is that Zain may join Star Plus' upcoming show, Mariam Khan - Reporting Live after finishing Naamkarann. We got hold of the actor to confirm the news and he said, "Yes, talks are not but it is yet not confirmed. I cannot comment more." Well, if Naamkarann doesn't go off air and have a slot change then will he be able to join Mariam Khan - Reporting Live? Time will only tell. But whatever be the case, fans can cheer up that they won't be missing Zain in either of the ways.
Apart from Naamkarann, Star Plus is planning to give a revamp to many shows and launch some new ones. Rumours were rife that Divyanka Tripathi's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein will go off air but it had a slot change and Mariam Khan - Reporting Live will go on air. Moreover, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's spin off show, Yeh Hai Chahate will soon go on air which will be based on Sound Of Music. Some other shows are also in the pipeline. Now time will tell what more the channel offers its viewers to be back on the TRP game.
