We're half way through 2018 and it has turned out to be a more fruitful year for Bollywood as compared to 2017. In the second half of the year, there are biggies like Thugs of Hindostan, Zero, Simmba, Dabangg 3, Total Dhamaal and Student of the Year 2, which are expected to be huge money-spinners at the box office. In the past few months, we have seen many filmmakers and production houses announcing the release dates of their big-ticket films, not for 2019 but for 2020! Interestingly, they have taken this decision as maximum of these films will be mounted on a huge scale and will be heavily based on VFX. Salman Khan-Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film - Eid, 2020
The first biggie in 2020 is Salman Khan starrer film which is tentatively titled Inshallah. It will be directed by the majestic filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who will be reuniting with Salman after 11 long years. The actor-director duo has previously worked in films like Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya.
Shamshera - July 31, 2020
Just yesterday, the makers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer announced the release date of action-adventure drama. Expected to be a commercial entertainer, the film will feature RK like never before. The actor will battle with Sanjay who will be seen as a ruthless villain in this larger than life venture. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film will also star Befikre girl Vaani Kapoor in a lead role.
Rannbhoomi - Diwali 2020
Varun Dhawan has taken the responsibility to entertain us during the biggest festive season of Diwali with Rannbhoomi. Touted to be a revenge drama, Varun will portray the character of a warrior. As per director, Shashank Khaitan, Rannbhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism. The film will be produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions.
Rambo - October 2020
The first poster of Tiger Shroff in a Rambo avatar impressed us to the core. But due to the actor's hectic schedule, the shooting of the film was pushed ahead. While rumours suggested that it has been shelved, director Siddharth Anand dismissed them and said that the film will go on floors in mid-2019 and they are planning to release it in October 2020.
Krrish 4 - Christmas 2020
The Greek god of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan will be back as our favourite desi superhero Krrish with the fourth part of the franchise. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film might feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a negative avatar.
