Can you guess the film? We are talking about 1999's melodrama Sooryavansham. Rekha dubbed for Soundarya and Jayasudha (both South actresses) in this film.
Talking about the film, it is the official remake of Suryavansam, which featured Sarath Kumar, Devayani and Raadhika in key roles. Sooryavansham marked the Hindi debut of Telugu director E. V. V. Satyanarayana and remained his first and only directorial in Bollywood. Despite its disappointing performance at the box office, the film attained a cult status due to repeat viewership on many television channels.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in YRF's mega-budget action adventure fantasy drama Thugs of Hindostan. The film also features Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. It is directed by Dhoom 3 helmer and is set to hit the hit the screens on November 7 during the Diwali weekend. Big B is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra which is bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The superhero fantasy film features an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy. It is scheduled to release on August 15, 2019, during the Diwali weekend.
