Despite the super success of Bodyguard, the producer’s next film doesn’t star the blockbuster Khan
After two duds, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa and Hello, producer Atul Agnihotri struck gold at the box office with his Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer, Bodyguard. Since then, there have been speculations galore about his next film. There were serious discussions about Salman doing the biopic on the legendary superstar Rajinikanth. Once the rumour died down, talks about the Dookudu remake began, again with Sallu playing the lead. That one fizzled out too, as things didn’t work about between the makers.
In a surprising turn of events, we hear that the 'Dhinka chika' dude will not be a part of Agnihotri’s next production. Salman has always been there for all his family and friends and this announcement about him not being in his brother-in-law’s film that too after the humongous hit that their previous film was, came as a shock. Speculations have already begun about the possible reason why Atul hasn’t cast Salman and a fall-out between the two is not being ruled out.
Confirming the news, Atul told a leading daily, "It is an original film, not a remake. It is a coming of age naughty love story. The story is really nice and hence we are making the film. We have a title in mind and hopefully we will announce it with the cast in two months time." Probably the reason why the Dabangg actor hasn’t been cast is the film is probably because he has already come of age and will not be accepted playing a college going dude. But wethinks if Aamir Khan can pass off as a student in 3 Idiots, so can Salman. Don’t you think so?
