बॉलीवुड के दिग्गज कलाकार जगदीप ने बीती रात ही मुंबई स्थित अपने आवास पर अंतिम सांस ली है। जगदीप जाफरी के निधन की खबर सुनकर हर कोई गमजदा है। जगदीप (Jagdeep) के निधन की खबर सुनते ही बॉलीवुड इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े सभी लोग उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि देने में जुट हुए हैं। अजय देवगन, अनुपम खेर, आयुष्मान खुराना और जॉनी लीवर से लेकर तमाम कलाकारों ने जगदीप को याद करते हुए उन्हें आखिरी अलविदा कहा है। अजय देवगन ने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा है कि, 'जगदीप साहब के निधन की खबर बुरी खबर सुनी। मैं उन्हें हमेशा स्क्रीन पर देखकर खूब एन्जॉय करता था। वो अपने दर्शकों को खूब एंटरटेन करते थे। जावेद और पूरे परिवार को मेरी संवेदनाएं। जगदीप साहब की आत्मा के लिए प्रार्थना कर रहा हूं।'
जाने माने कलाकार जॉनी लीवर ने जगदीप को याद करते हुए एक इमोशनल नोट लिखा है। जॉनी लीवर ने अपने ट्वीट में लिखा है कि, 'मेरी पहली फिल्म....मैंने जगदीप भाई के साथ फिल्म ये रिश्ता ना टूटे के जरिए पहली बार कैमरे को फेस किया था। हम आपको हमेशा याद करेंगे। आपकी आत्मा को शांति मिले..परिवार के प्रति गहरी संवेदना।'

400 से ज्यादा फिल्मों में किया था काम
जगदीप ने फिल्म 'अफसाना' के जरिए फिल्मी दुनिया में कदम रखा था। इस फिल्म में जगदीप ने बतौर चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट काम किया था। जगदीप ने अपने फिल्मी करियर में 400 से भी ज्यादा फिल्मों में काम किया था।
सूरमा भोपाली बनकर जीत लिया था दिल
अमिताभ बच्चन और धर्मेंद की फिल्म 'शोले' में जगदीप ने सूरमा भोपाली का किरदार निभाया था। इस फिल्म में उनका डायलॉग 'मेरा नाम सूरमा भोपाली ऐसे ही थोड़े है...' को लोगों ने खूब पसंद किया था।
