Finally, some good news has emerged from the entertainment world. One of the most anticipated films in recent times is about to resume its production work and the news couldn't have come at a better time for Hollywood, with every film, TV and web series shoot of the biggest movie industry in the world currently stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The shoot of Avatar 2 will be resuming shortly in New Zealand after the country has been declared safe from COVID-19, and this news is a huge shot in the arm for Hollywood, after every one of its production mostly being stalled world over.
The update has come straight form the horse's mouth, with producer Jon Landau, a long-time collaborator of Director James Cameron, posting a beautiful pic of one of the film's many sets on his official Instagram handle, announcing that the sets of Avatar 2 are ready and that the team is ecstatic to head back to New Zealand to resume production work. He captioned the pic: “Our #Avatar sets are ready — and we couldn’t be more excited to be headed back to New Zealand next week. Check out the Matador, a high speed forward command vessel (bottom) and the Picador jetboat (top) — can’t wait to share more.” Check out his Instagram post below:
The New Zealand government has endorsed the country's health and safety protocols post COVID-19, felicitating the resumption of film, TV and web series shoots in the country, which has offered major succour to several Hollywood producers. Let's wait and watch who else follows suit after the team of Avatar 2.
