Chadwick Boseman who craved an immortal place in our hearts with his fabulous body of work passed away yesterday. He was 43. Chadwick had been battling colon cancer since 2016. He was diagnosed in Stage 111 and had undergone many chemotherapy and surgeries for the same. Yesterday, his publicist put out the final statement from the actor's account informing people that he is no more. As of now, the tweet has 6.1 million likes, 2.9 million retweets and over 152 thousand replies. The tweet had a smiling picture of Boseman with a statement from the family. The actor is best known for playing T'Challa or Black Panther. He is also famous for roles like Jackie Robinson in 42, Norman in Da 5 Bloods, Thurgood Marshall in Marshall and James Brown in Get on Up. This loss is an immense one for Hollywood and the artistic fraternity. He is survived by his wife and family.
The statement read, "A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you so many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy." The actor hailed from South Carolina. Mark Ruffalo tweeted, "All I have to say is the tragedies amassing this year have only been made more profound by the loss of #ChadwickBoseman. What a man, and what an immense talent. Brother, you were one of the all time greats and your greatness was only beginning. Lord love ya. Rest in power, King.
