There's no ounce of doubt that the K-pop artistes, BTS, is among the biggest boy band in the music world globally. They often trend on Twitter and other social media platforms thanks to their loyal fanbase known as the BTS Army. But despite being so popular, the BTS members don't have their individual social media accounts to connect with their fans. We will tell you the reason why.
This septet has fans across the globe and to connect with them, the K-pop group have made one account on each social media platforms like Twitter, Weverse and Instagram. The seven members of the BTS group use the same group to collectively interact with their fans and share their personal images and videos.
The idea behind not having individual social media accounts for all the BTS members was to bring their fans into one place and entertain them as much as they want. This way, the BTS Army doesn't have to go looking for different members and follow them diligently. This move is in stark contrast with Hollywood boy bands such as The Jonas Brothers where all of them have their individual accounts.
The pop heroes BTS had set the stage afire with a virtual performance of their hit single Dynamite at the 63rd Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles on March 14. The septet performed Dynamite in a pre-recorded video, taking their dynamic gig from the Grammys stage to a rooftop overseeing a breathtaking night view of the South Korean Capital city.
This year, the band earned their first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, but they lost out to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
This is the third consecutive year that BTS has participated at the Grammy Awards. In 2019, they first appeared as presenters for Best R&B Album, and last year the band took the stage for Old Town Road alongside Lil Nas X and other performers.
