The actress says that CINTAA has no right to force her to work
There is a lot of speculation over Shilpa Shinde will make a comeback on &TV's Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain or not. Though the CINTAA has directed her to resume shooting at the earliest, the lady is in no mood to heed to them. Talking to BollywoodLife, she said, "I am not making a return on the show. I feel the producers should be banned from the industry. The meeting with CINTAA was a normal one. Since the producers have sent me a legal notice, CINTAA does not have much right left to decide on the matter. As an actor, I was extremely humiliated in the meeting. This is not a body for any artiste." When we asked her about the charges made by the producers, she said, "I was thrown out of the show for my 'misbehaviour'. It is running since 10 days without me. Now, why are they so insistent on getting me back. I am sitting at home without any work but no one will tell me to work with someone who has treated me badly. I won't accept that."
The actress says she did not want to sign an exclusivity contract with the producers. "No exclusive contract can bar you from working elsewhere. Yes, there is an exclusivity about the character and I agree on that," she opines. "I told them that I did not want an exclusive contract nor the exclusive money," she roars. Further on, the actress says her makeup room has been locked, which has a number of her personal items like clothes, fridge and TV. "All my stuff is locked up. They are my items. Why does CINTAA not see into this? The producers made me sit at home, which is also a crime in itself," says Shilpa.
The angry actress says the producers should be banned from the industry. Addressing the viewers, Shilpa says, "The producers have affected the show. I was forced to quit. They created a fake account of mine and posted stuff like I was doing other show. This is cybercrime. Who has given the PR team such rights to spread stories about me? The producers got a shock when the TRPs of the show dipped from 2.3 to 1.4. I make people laugh but I want to tell the producers can't you can't make me cry and work. I hope viewers understand my point."
The actress is also talking to a legal team and says the details of her notice should be finalised tomorrow. She also says she is very hurt by the attitude of her co-stars. "They are talking diplomatically. It is sad that they are not standing up for a fellow actor. This is a wrong practice in the industry, people (actors) tolerating everything," she opines.
Shilpa says about her misbehaviour. "If I ask for a bottle of mineral water after travelling for four hours to Naigaon, is that called a tantrum?".
