Ever since the Supreme Court order the CBI to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's case, and even a few days prior to the handover, when calls for a CBI enquiry were gaining tremendous momentum, several Bollywood and TV celebs were posting social-media message campaigning for the same and demanding justice for Sushant, which drew flak for several section of the public for the timing of their posts. Then there's the matter of several random people drawing their own conclusions and peddling conspiracy theories, not bothering to wait for the law to take its course. Now, Swara Bhasker, who's usually quite vocal, but has remained surprisingly mum on this issue, has put the whole matter into perspective in an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife.
Opening up on the need to let the judiciary do its work and not rush to judgments, Swara Bhasker said, “The public is not the judiciary. There's a justice system. It is the judiciary that does the job and we should allow it to do its work. I have said this before, too, I have even tweeted about this. I can't comment about others tweeting or putting out other social-media posts (for Sushant Singh Rajput), but all I know is that we should wait for the CBI enquiry to take its course and not jump to conclusion till the judiciary reached a verdict.” Well...we must say that Swara's wait-and-watch policy is really the way to go in this matter.
Meanwhile, Swara is gearing up for her next web series, Flesh, based on human trafficking, costarring Akshay Oberoi, Yudhister, Vidya Malvade and Mahima Makwana, directed by Danish Aslam of Break Ke Baad fame, and produced by Siddharth Anand of War fame. The show premieres on 21st August on an OTT platform.
