Collar Bomb: Jimmy Sheirgill opens up on the possibility of a sequel to his thriller; says, 'Anything can happen' [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]

Given that Collar Bomb is a thriller, and since many thrillers, at least modern ones, have a scope for a sequel, with the climax and denouement usually teasing something more, we were wondering if that's the case with Collar Bomb, too, and quizzed Jimmy Sheirgill about the same in an exclusive interview

Collar Bomb, which released today, 9th July, on Disney+ Hotstar, is receiving particular praise for yet another solid performance from its criminally underrated lead actor, Jimmy Sheirgill. Now, given that the OTT film is a thriller, and since many thrillers, at least modern ones, have a scope for a sequel, with the climax and denouement usually teasing something more, we were wondering if that's the case with Collar Bomb, too, and quizzed Jimmy Sheirgill about the same in an exclusive interview.

Opening up about the possibility of a Collar Bomb part 2, the actor said, “I don't we've left such an ending in the movie (for a sequel), par, haan, hone ko toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai (anything can happen, you never know). It depends on the writer how he wants to take the story ahead. But this story is about that one particular day and what all happens on that day. I think, it's based on that (the day) and as soon as the story of that day finishes in those many hours, with that, the film's story also finishes. But yes, the kind of characters that are a part of the movie, if the writer (Nikhil Nair) wants to take the story ahead, he could do it.”

Jimmy Shergill also addressed a range of other topic in the interview from experiencing relatively lesser pressure when bringing a thriller to the audience and not being disappointed that Collar Bomb is not releasing on the big screen to playing a tough, cop role after a long time, tackling a character with grey shades and whether he's focusing more on OTT content now rather than Bollywood.
