Today being International Yoga Day, who better to talk to about the impact of the ancient Indian exercise technique than what of Bollywood's poster children of yoga, Malika Arora. We've seen how fit and fine and fabulous Malaika is at the age of 46, with people less than half her age not having a patch on her supreme fitness and radiant looks, all of which she credits to yoga. So, as a special Yoga Day treat, Malaika Arora revealed exclusively to BollywoodLife how the workout form has brought positive change in her life, helped her become more patient, relaxed and taught her to make sense in chaos.
Opening up on when she took up yoga and why, Malaika Arora said, "It has been a few years now since I started doing yoga regularly. Yoga came into my life when I needed it the most. I had suffered a hamstring injury a while back while dancing and it was really bad. That's when someone suggested me to start practicing yoga."
Elaborating on how it has changed her life, the Chaiyya Chaiyya lady added, "It has brought immense positive change in my life and that's why I like to spread the word accross to practice yoga and co-founded Sarva and Diva Yoga."
Opening up on how yoga has made her a better person, she stated, "Definitely, it has brought a sense of calm in my life when I needed it the most. It has helped me become more patient, it has taught me to make sense in chaos and approach things/situations in a more positive manner. And the most important of all...It has taught me to relax."
