Bharat, featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Tabu and others, is roaring at the box office and how! The film has shattered many box office records and is continuing to do well at the ticket windows. Salman and Katrina are being individually applauded for their performances and their on-screen chemistry in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has set the temperatures soaring. Needless to say, fans were happy to see the duo back on the big screen. Apart from their performances, people adored the outfits that Salman and Katrina donned in Bharat. Designer Ashley Rebello is to be credited when we particularly talk about Salman's outfits for the film. The designer also put in special efforts in creating Katrina's ethereal bridal look and it was too beautiful for words.
Talking particularly about Kat's bridal look, Ashley had earlier mentioned that it wasn’t a piece of cake to select the right fabric, tones of white, the silhouette and flow, in order to do justice to the look and to Katrina’s unparalleled beauty. Hence, he along with Salman's sister Alvira Khan sketched a number of designs and made several alterations, and then they were finally able to create a look for Katrina that mesmerised one and all. Even the side swept hair bun was the designer’s idea to go.
Recently, when BollywoodLife exclusively spoke to Ashley about the same and the response he has received for designing the costumes for Bharat, he revealed that it took complete two days to create Katrina's bridal look. Ashley mentioned that he got the best compliments for Salman Khan's old look, Disha Patani's look in Slow Motion and of course Katrina's wedding attire. "A lot of work went into Salman Khan's first look - the circus one," added Rebello.
On a parting note, Ashley shed light on his association with Salman and revealed how his partnership started with the Dabangg actor. "His sister Alvira (Khan) and me are friends. Amrita Arora is the one who introduced me to Salman and told me that they were looking out for a designer. And that's how I got to do Wanted (2009). " Well, that's something we didn't know before.
