Bollywood's latest muse Zaheer Iqbal is quite kicked about Rakshabandhan. Not many are aware that Iqbal's sister Sanam Ratansi, a celebrity stylist has been in the industry even before the actor, who made his debut earlier this year with Notebook. As the nation, celebrates the festival of siblings, Zaheer in an exclusive conversation with BollywoodLife talks about his sister Sanam Ratansi like never before. "I don’t think anyone is as honest with me about my work more than Sanam is," Zaheer said.
Zaheer is of the opinion that Sanam had a major role in shaping his career as an actor. "I take her opinion about everything I’m doing. Also she’s been a part of the industry way longer than I have, so she guides me when I need and keeps me in check considering she’s the more mature one from the two of us."
Not just a guide, Sanam, who has styled celebrities like Aditi Rao Hydari, has also been Zaheer's partner in crime. "Siblings are always the first and best partners in crime for everyone," Zaheer claimed. He reminisced the days when Sanam had his back when he was busy doing "vellagiri". "During college days I used to sneak out of the house to hang out with my friends and do vellagiri in the middle of the night and come back before my parents woke up. We weren’t given a set of keys back then so I’d call Sanam at five in the morning or at random hours and she’d wake up, open the door for me and sneak me back in the house."
Zaheer also revealed how Sanam couldn't hold back her tears after watching the trailer of his debut movie Notebook. Talking about the emotional moment Zaheer said, "One of the most emotional moments between us in the recent times has to be when she couldn’t stop crying tears of joy while watching the trailer of my debut film for the first time."
While Bollywood is known to have many rakhi siblings, Zaheer is not quite keen to get a rakhi tied from any Bollywood actress. "Why would I want ANY Bollywood actress to tie me a rakhi?" he chuckled when asked if there is any actress he would not want to tie rakhi to him.
