Sharman Joshi is one of the funniest actors we have in Bollywood. The actor, who was recently seen as Parmeshwar Naidu in Mission Mangal, wins over the audience with just his EPIC expressions and his comic timing is bang on, every. single. time. With Mission Mangal, Sharman has yet again charmed everyone with his acting chops and increased his legion of fans.
BollywoodLife got in touch with Sharman Joshi and had an exclusive chat in which we noticed his sense of humour transcends the silver screen on to his real-life as well. From the movie doing a fantastic job at the box office to his future projects, the actor spilled quite a few beans. On Mission Mangal entering the Rs 100-crore club, Sharman said that he was elated by the news. He told us that he was very proud to be a part of Mission Mangal. (SPOILERS ahead). In the film, Sharman plays a scientist who is a virgin and cannot find a suitable bride. Every prospective girl his family looks for gets married to other men, but he cannot find a bride for himself. He meets Eka Gandhi (Sonakshi Sinha) at work, who is a fellow scientist. He is enamored by her and finds ways to be around her.
We asked Sharman about his off-screen camaraderie with Sonakshi, and Sharman being his goofy self, answered, “There weren’t any blooper moments as such, but off-screen also, I was equally besotted by Sonakshi. So yeah, it helped me to perform my part easily.” See that’s what we love about Sharman - his spontaneity.
Talking about Mission Mangal, the film also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen in key roles. The film narrates the tale of India’s first successful interplanetary mission, Mangalyaan. Helmed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal released in theatres on the eve of Independence Day.
