Pihu Sand makes her big Bollywood debut with Anil Kapoor's Fanney Khan and it's the kind of film you dream of. If you ask us why we would give a pretty simple answer. A movie that stars Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles has to be special and who on earth can let it go for a debut? Pihu, who is a starkid too, considers herself fortunate enough to start her race with such a big film in her kitty. When BollywoodLife, had an exclusive opportunity to have a chat with this new comer, we were stunned to see the immense confidence in her. When we ask her if coming from a filmy family helped her in any way to bag Fanney Khan as her debut movie, she dismissed it saying, she had to audition for it, "I had to audition with 500 different girls and I was selected through my auditions. So I wouldn't say it helped me bag this role." She further admits how she supports star kids and understands the pressure they go through every day. She believes being a star kid is a tough job because you have to prove your worth and also justify your family name. When asked if she's nervous or excited about competing with Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan at least in the award functions this year, she said, "I am happy because those girls are brilliant actors. I am competitive but I also would like to be friends with them. I recently saw Dhadak and Janhvi was brilliant in that. No matter what the trolls said, I can understand the pressure she was in when it comes to a debut movie and I think she was phenomenal." So finally, someone believes in 'no cat fights' philosophy. Pihu disagrees when we ask her if she's following Bhumi Pednekar's footsteps. She in fact, wants to carve her own path and set herself as an example. It's a great thought and we wish her all the best.
