Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are all set to entertain us this Dussehra with their rom-com, Namaste England. Slated to release on October 19, the movie, which has been produced and directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, will be Arjun and Pari's second film together after Ishqzaade, and we can't wait to see their chemistry unfold onscreen. If you need a recap, the trailer showcased the journey of Jasmeet, Param, and their cute love story. The initial part of the trailer seemed to be full of the happy moments shared between the Punjabi couple. However, things take a U-turn when Jasmeet decides to jet off to London.
Talking about chemistry, we thought it would be best to ask the onscreen jodi itself. That's right, in an exclusive and candid rendezvous, Arjun and Pari opened up to us about their crackling chemistry and we are here to share. From fighting in Ishqzaade to wooing each other in Namaste England, we asked them as to how do they manage to do it and pat came Arjun's reply, "It purely comes down to the size of the cheque." Ha! But on a serious note, he said, "It comes down purely to the comfort created by both of us sub-consciously in the first film. Ismein bhi nok jhok hai, jhagda hai but yeh shaadi shuda couple ki kahaani hai. In a very strange way, what Parma Zoya (in Ishqzaade) had potential to become, Param and Jasmeet are (in Namaste England). They are still very strong, individual personalities; it’s in a different setting and milieu. So, in a way, it has the reminiscence of Parma-Zoya’s kind of attitude told in a tonality that is a rom-com." Watch the video here:
Even Parineeti echoed his sentiments and stated, "He said it very well. Galti se (smirks). (But) I think the chemistry comes from a place of comfort. I find it very awkward saying all these things in front of him because hamara relationship aisa hai nahi jahan hum formally ek dusre ko hamari feelings batate hain. Who unsaid hai hamare beech main. It’s because I’m absolutely myself in front of him and that extends on-screen also. I’m so glad people are seeing that. We, organically, had that chemistry and people are appreciating it, that’s half the battle won for a love story." And we couldn't agree more! Namaste England is all set to release this Friday.
