Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy is all set to rule the roost come February 14. The film brings together Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for the first time and to say that fans have been waiting to see the film, will be putting it (very) modestly. Frankly, the buzz has been high since the trailer was revealed and only going upward with the various promos that the makers have been dropping. Not to mention, the sick beats for Ranveer to rap and make his way into our hearts. Be it Apna Time Aayega or #ApniAlbina, things have caught on with the peeps on social media and how!
Amongst all, Alia's 'Dhoptuingi' dialogue from the trailer has got more makers than any and for obvious reasons. From memes to GIFs, her lingo and nonchalance -- of confessing to hitting someone who has a crush on her BF -- struck a chord with online users who turned it into a top trend. Having said that, we did have our questions. Not for Sakina (Alia's character) but Alia herself and we made it a point to ask her. That's right, in a recent interview, we asked her if she would dhopofy someone in real life if they had a crush on Ranbir Kapoor. Now, before she could answer, Ranveer did chip in with, "Don’t you think the whole nation has a crush on Alia’s boyfriend?" and made it easier for us but she did reply and said, "I feel happy and proud that people have a crush on my boyfriend. Like wow, he is my BF, he loves me!" Watch the video here.
Not just that, when asked if Ranbir liked the trailer and the tracks from the album like Deepika Padukone did, she added, "Yeah, Ranbir loves it. He has heard the album and he has been listening quite closely. (Recently) he was telling me about some song that I haven’t heard as much yet and he really loves. He is quite a buff that way of all that's going in cinema." So, now you know!
