The chairperson of CINTAA, Amit Behl in a statement yesterday stated that the organization never said it would ban Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress Shilpa Shinde. The union instead wants her to bear the cost of financial loss incurred by the producer or channels.
Talking to BollywoodLife, Shilpa said, “Firstly, they had no right to intervene in what was a matter between my producers and me. So far, whatever I did was legally right. Most producers treat their artistes like machines and it is not right. You see channels are keeping telecast of daily soaps even on Saturdays and Sundays. Actors have to put in such long hours. No one has asked them if it suits them or not. Isn’t that illegal? The producers said they were auditioning actresses for a month. They just did not let me work by creating troubles.”
The actress further said that she was extremely harassed by statements like lifetime ban, which she knew could not be actually implemented. “They have not given me three months salary. I should be compensated not they. No one has incurred loss. All the episodes were telecasted as per schedule,” she opines. The actress further says she is strong enough to fight her own battles.
Will she be a part of The Kapil Sharma Show now that there is no ban? “We are in touch. I did not want to trouble them with these issues. I met the team and they’re very respectful towards their artistes. No wonder, it’s the best show on TV. They understand the meaning of being a family,” says Shilpa. The lady says stopping anyone from working is unconstitutional and will fight till the end for her rights.
