Adipurush starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sonal Chauhan amongst others is an upcoming Indian mythological film said to be based on Ramayana. Prabhas will play the role of Raghava (Ram), while Kriti will be Janki (Sita) and Saif will play Lankesh (Ravana) Adipurush has been made on a budget of Rs 500 crore (US$66 million), making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Along with Hindi and Telugu, the film will also release in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada in dubbed format and will hit screens on 12 January 2023. Prabhas has trained hard for the film and it is going to be a visual extravaganza. It is also Prabhas' second Hindi film after Saaho with Shraddha Kapoor, The actor's Radhe Shyam didn't impress audience much. It remains to be seen if Adipurush helps Prabhas recreate the Baahubali magic and cross box office numbers of Jr NTR's RRR and Yash's KGF 2.
