The Madhya Pradesh government honoured legendary actor, Dev Anand with the 14th Rastriya Kishore Kumar Samman on the occasion of the late singer's 25th death anniversary. According to a minister, an amount of Rs 2 lakh, an honour plaque and a shawl were given to the octogenerian actor for excellence in direction at his Mumbai residence. The evergreen hero, apart from a stellar career on screen, has produced some very memorable films, including Johnny Mera Naam, Guide, Jewal Thief and Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The 88-year-old has also been honoured with Padma Vibhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award previously. A grand function was also held at Khandwa, Kishoreda's birthplace, in the singer's memory.
