A five minute ad that is totally pointless as Ranveer Singh's Native American hat.
Sometimes there are comedies that will make you laugh with it, sometimes there are comedies that will make you laugh at it. And then there are some comedies that will make you wonder, why even bother?
Ranveer Singh's latest spoof video, Ranveer Ching Returns, made to sell more products of a popular noodle brand, is one such comedy. You really can't make out what was the intention behind the makers in creating this stuff, that wastes a lot of money for no point at all. The video is directed by Rohit Shetty, who is still in his Dilwale blues. Even though the ad has a lot of Rohit trademarks like hero's grand entry, over-the-top stunts and vehicles getting blasted (this time with a pan), strangely none of them look effective.
And there is Tamannaah, whose presence in the video is as pointless as the existence of the video. And why the heck is she so scantily dressed?
Ranveer Singh is in his usual elements, channeling Jack Sparrow and Govinda, while also looking creepy in his coloured hair look. The video even ends with a note that there will be a sequel for the same.
Don't blame you if you end up say, 'Chu!'
Here are 10 WTF moments from the video...
The setting that, I agree, looks awesome and inspired. While also making us wonder 'Couldn't we have made an actually good film?'
Ranveer screwing up Mad Max and Lone Ranger in one moment
Seriously, why are you Native American here? Is that some racist joke that we have to infer?
In the background is the real reason why this 'disaster' exists in the first place
Ah! Our film-makers' obsession with Tamannaah's navel!
Why can't a five minute ad spare us of a dreary song and dance routine?
Whoever subbed this video needs a special round of applause!
Our feelings, exactly!
Yayy! A Rohit Shetty moment to be proud of!
Ranveer Singh in drag...Now that's the only thing left for them to show...Oops! Spoke too soon!
My eyes! My eyes!
