Right or wrong...you decide!
CBFC, or rather commonly used Censor Board, has been under the fire for the last few months with their errant way of working, especially their chief, Pahlaj Nihalani.
Pahlaj saab, who is also known for directing that rather horrendous Modi-praising song which would even make our beloved PM Facepalm himself, is hell bent on making our films sanskaari, if reports are to be believed. Forget Indian films, he even tried to make James Bond sanskaari, but chopping off his kissing scenes to a bare minimal in SPECTRE!
So as the film-makers around are either making a lot of noise or just making fun of the man and his team, Shahid director Hansal Mehta recently tweeted two pages of the guidelines which the CBFC need to follow while certifying a movie. He called many of the points archaic, and to some extent we agree with him, but I do feel that these guidelines are not exactly followed if you see the content seen in many of our Hindi films.
But if the Censors had followed the book to the T, we would have the following 10 things taken off our films...
So, by following all these...The Censor Board will make sure that....
You can find the pages of the guidelines in Hansal Mehta's tweet below,
So what do you think? Do you agree with Hansal Mehta that the CBFC guidelines are subjective, outdated and ridiculous? Or do you prefer the sanskaari way? We want you to give us the answer...
