120 Bahadur box office collection day 9: Farhan Akhtar and Raashi Khanna's film 120 Bahadur was released on November 21 and is now in its second week. At the start, the movie had a great performance, but its revenue dropped on the weekdays of the second week. As per preliminary figures from Sacnilk, the movie's income on day 8 was Rs 4.7 million; thus, the total Indian gross was Rs 15.47 crore already. The film's earnings for day 9 are projected to be around Rs 100,000 according to the early estimation. Previously, it earned Rs 11 million on Wednesday, Rs 900,000 on Thursday, and Rs 14 million and Rs 15 million on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. The film had a strong opening weekend, grossing Rs 7.85 crore, compared to an opening of Rs 2.25 crore.
120 Bahadur declared tax-free in Delhi
The film is receiving significant positive news as the Delhi government has declared it tax-free. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated on Twitter that this decision was taken to honor the courage and sacrifice of the 120 soldiers who died in battle during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. She wrote, "As a special mark of respect to the valiant soldiers, the Delhi Government has decided to grant tax-free status to the film in Delhi from 28th Nov." Farhan Akhtar expressed his gratitude for the decision, writing that this will help the film reach a wider audience. In his words, "‘120 Bahadur’ is now tax-free in Delhi. Grateful to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, @gupta_rekha ji, for her support. Her gracious gesture will help this story of courage reach an even wider audience."
All about 120 Bahadur
The story of 120 Bahadur is based on the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, in which Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, along with his unit, valiantly fought the Chinese army. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. The film depicts how this unit of the 13th Kumaon Regiment fought and defended the country in difficult conditions, including extreme cold, high altitude, and isolation.
Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati in the film. He is joined by Rashi Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, Ankit Siwach, Dhanveer Singh, Sahib Verma, Sparsh Walia, Ajit Dev, and Eijaz Khan in pivotal roles.
