After the debacle of Thugs Of Hindostan, all eyes are on Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0. The film is a sequel to Enthiran and is based on the ongoing war between man and machines. Rajinikanth returns as Chitti, the robot but the biggest attraction is Akshay Kumar. This is his debut in the Tamil film industry and what a film to start with. The latest poster shared by the actor shows his character scientist Richard/The Crow staring at us with blazing eyes. However, look carefully and you'll see that his face is dotted with mobile phones. We know cellular technology is the crux of the story, which focuses on the impact of technology on the environment. The film is set for a grand release on November 29.
Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca Productions, said, at the trailer launch, "The film has been shot in 3D, and on a budget of Rs 400 crore. As of now we have only 1,500 3D screens in India as opposed to over 10,000 in China. We hope to have more screens converted into 3D and ready for the release of 2.0." The two superstars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar were full of mutual admiration as well. In an earlier interview, Akshay told IANS, "Rajini sir is the real superstar. I would like to thank Shankar sir for giving me the opportunity of working with a legend like Rajinikanth. I could've never imagined that I will get a chance to work in such a big and costly film like 2.0." Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
