Hence, we can't wait to check out the first theatrical trailer of Ki & Ka which has the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. But there are other reasons too and they are...
1. An unusual love story
Audience today is hungry for good and fresh contest. We still love larger than life movies but we do sometimes crave for interesting plotlines different than the rest. Ki & Ka can easily be called a breath of fresh air in an industry which believes in having stories that glorify the hero. Here, Kareena plays a working wife while Arjun is a stay home husband. According to reports, the actor's character has no qualms sitting at home doing all household chores while his wife gets work done at the office. Now, nothing can get as unconventional as this in Bollywood.
2. Oh fresh!
Kareena and Arjun's pairing is one of the most interesting ones this year. There is a good gap of couple of years between the two and that makes it even more alluring. Remember Cheeni Kum, where Tabu and Amitabh Bachchan's age gap was one of the prime plots of the film? But can you make any of that out from the posters and stills released recently? There is visible chemistry between the two and it's so enlivening to see that.
3. Kareena is back!
After Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a lot of her fans were highly disappointed at the duration of her role in the film. They expect something really strong from her and when they didn't get it, they made their displeasure apparent. That's exactly the reason why we are waiting to watch Kareena in the trailer. This woman is a credible actress and Ki & Ka will prove that fact, we are pretty sure of it. She plays a headstrong working woman and has the whole story revolving around her along with Arjun. All Bebo fans will be deeply proud of it, we feel.
4. Balki's brilliance
R. balki delves in a cinema that's larger than life yet is firmly rooted. He loves to play around with the frailities of his characters and weave a story out of that. Cheeni Kum hai made us fall in love with Tabu and AB in a new way while Paa was just outstanding. Yes, Shamitabh was a colossal disappointment but then who doesn't have rough days. And from the look of Ki & Ka, the Balki we so adore will be back.
5. Bachchans cameo
Balki doesn't believe in making a film without Amitabh Bachchan. In fact, in a recent interview to a daily, he admitted that if it was possible he would have worked with him in all his films. And so, despite not having him in the lead, the director made sure there is some Bachchan presence. We were the first ones to tell what Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan will be seen doing in the film and we can't wait to catch a glimpse of it. It's been a long time since we saw the two of them on screen together and so, we are extremely excited.
