After having watched the film, I believe Akshay should continue to pick such genre of films in the near future. Read on to know more!
After reviewing Akshay Kumar’s Baby last night, I walked away as a content viewer. Intriguing, classy and realistic, this Neeraj Pandey flick is yet another masterpiece shelled out by him after A Wednesday and Special 26. Apart from the intricacies involved in the venture, I was floored by Akki’s performance. Having had a string of misses since a while now, I believe the actor has upped his game with Baby. Here are 5 reasons why I feel Akki should choose more films like BabyThe action hero tag
There’s no one who can take Akki’s action hero tag. The actor delivers his best when put in dangerous scenarios involving deadly stunts and fights .When I look at him performing these, I’m convinced that his passion is being presented on celluloid efficiently. Just like Shah Rukh Khan is the king of romance and Govinda that of comedy, AK rules the realm of action and I feel films like Baby do justice to his impeccable talent in the same.
After several flops, comes a big hit
Akshay has given us films like Housefull, Singh is King and Boss. After having watched these, I felt that the actor’s potential is being wasted in mindless cinema I longed to see him in a challenging role such as the one he played in Baby. There comes a phase where one starts expecting the actor to whip out a unique film, after a string of monotonous ones. I believe Baby has changed the game for Akshay and if he continues to pick such films, the future is a bright one for this khiladi.
At par with the Khans
Last year belonged to the Khans. Where Salman Khan set the 100 crore trend with his film Kick, Shah Rukh Khan soon joined in with Happy New Year. The record was broken by Aamir Khan and his film PK. Akshay holds a similar kind of stardom and persona amongst the masses. With Baby, I believe the Khiladi is back in the game. With such ventures in his kitty, the superstar has the ability to give the Khans a run for their money.
Lead-ing the way
Baby is an out and out Akshay Kumar film. The actor has proven that in order to be a hit with the masses, romancing leading ladies of B-town isn’t necessarily the call of the hour. Akki single handedly took us all through his thrilling journey and by the end of it I was thankful for him not having shared screen space with another popular male or female actor. Baby is one of those films where Akshay’s thunder wasn’t meant to be stolen! If he wants to stick around in the popularity game, lead roles such as this would do the trick.
Worth the effortlessness
I’m of the opinion that an actor’s performance can be called ‘good’ or ‘memorable’ when he shells out one without having to put in much effort. Akshay in Baby is a clear example of the same. Natural, effortless and breezy, Akki came across as a believable agent in the film. The last two films where I feel the actor’s talent was tapped on and put to good use was OMG! Oh My God and Special 26. I believe Neeraj Pandey has brought forth Akki’s potential in Baby and directors should take a cue from him in the future.
Like I said, Akshay has upped his game with Baby. If he continues to do films like these, no one can stop him from ruling 2015!
