This Eid release of the actor is devoid of everything that completes his films...
When Salman Khan arrived at the theatres with Tere Naam long ago, he was a complete revelation. It was a perfect blend of everything Salman, the person. I-care-damn-attitude, earnest romance, action and kindness of his heart – everything was so endearing. No wonder that the film won everyone’s hearts, even of those who aren’t a fan of this superstar. That proved to the world that this man has enough qualities for cinematic exploration. You just need to know how to utiise them. Many years later, when a section of audience were tired of his larger than life heroic films, comes Bajrangi Bhaijaan that touches your heart instantly. The endearing Salman is back and we give you reasons why it is unlike anything you have seen before in his films.
1. No maar maar maar, only pyaar pyaar pyaar
Action is synonymous to all Salman Khan films recently. His frontbencher fans love to throw coins at his kicks and punches. But Bajrangi Bhaijaan is perhaps the most non-violent film of his career. Yes, there are sequences when he beats the daylight out of anyone who crosses him in the film but it has been kept to scenes where they are absolutely necessary. It’s only his innocence that slays people in the film.
2. No dialoguebaazi
A Salman Khan film without a catchy one-liner that gets repeated by everyone from chaiwala to a corporate guy in day to day life is just unfathomable. Well, you would think so. BB has none and we don’t consider, hum bajrangibali ke bhakt hai, mar jayenge par jhoot nahi bolenge a dhamekader Salman dialogue. It plainly reflects what the character is. Now that’s a big relief!
3. No Salman Khan the superstar
Every Salman movie in past couple of years celebrated and cherished his superstar image. In every film, he played Salman Khan the megastar instead of the character. But in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he is Pavan who is naive in a sweet kind of way. There are no frills around his character. He is one of those ordinary common men who despite being a failure in life manages to do something out-of-the-ordinary.
4. Bachchon ka bhaijaan
It’s no hidden fact that Salman loves kids the most. Often he spoke about having his own without getting married. The on the sets pictures of Bajrangi Bhaijaan showed how much he adores them. He clicked pictures with perhaps every little one who came to him with a selfie request. Kabir Khan should be applauded for realising where Salman’s heart lies. The bonding between Harshali who plays Munni in the film and him is heart warming! It shows his cuter side – something we have hardly seen in his films.
5. No gimmicks
Yes, all of you love to see him shirtless but BB didn’t warrant it and Salman didn’t do it. Sorry for the spoiler here, but he keeps his shirt on. His muscles didn’t rip his shirt off magically to bare his toned torso. So girls, be prepared to be disheartened but we are definitely not!
It will be safe to say that Bajrangi Bhaijaan is unlike any Salman Khan film we have seen in recent past and that makes us really happy!
