They might have made her the superstar that she was, but we are pretty sure she will think twice before shaking a leg to these songs.
Today is Karisma Kapoor's birthday (nope, we are not revealing her age...and anyways, she never looks that!)
Karisma Kapoor has evolved a lot from her Prem Qaidi debut days, be it her looks, her roles and even the way she dresses. Though she has never appeared on screen after her disastrous comeback in Vikram Bhatt's reincarnation saga Dangerous Ishhq, she is quite content playing mother to her kids.
When she was actively involved in films, she had some wonderful films in her kitty like Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Raja Hindustani, Judwaa etc. Like Sridevi, it was her inherent comic flair, displayed in Andaz Apna Apna, and many Govinda flicks (she made a really great pair with him!), that endeared her to us. But at the same time she also appeared in some tacky songs, which in its time were quite popular, but currently is not something any current heroine would even touch with a long stick.
So if Kareena Kapoor arranges a birthday party for her elder sis with some music and dance, here are five songs Karisma should never dance to at that party!
Dil Tera Hai Deewana Ay Ayyo Ay Ayyo - Muqabla
Though the song is quite peppy, it reeks racism towards South Indians with the frequent chant of Ay Ayyo Ay Ayyo...
Teri Naani Mari Toh Main Kya Karu - Coolie No. 1
While Karishma is doing a great job as a mom, this song will teach some really bad family values to her kids!
Sarkailo Khatiya - Raja Babu
Should I still specify why shouldn't' she dance to this song EVER?
Hai Hai Mirchi - Biwi No. 1
When everyone is screaming for women empowerment, there is nothing worse than a song that objectifies women and compares them to a mirchi!
