96 Box Office report: This Trisha-Vijay Sethupathi starrer romantic tale has an emphatic first day

Tamil film industry is going through the best phase currently with films like 96, Ratsasan and NOTA hitting the screens. While the thriller Ratsasan has been garnering rave reviews from critics, 96 has topped the list in terms of reviews from all around. And not just the reviews, this romantic tale has had a terrific first day at the box office too. Trisha Krishan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 96 has earned a collection of Rs 47 lakh in Chennai city alone giving it a good start at the box office. And with such a positive word of mouth from all around, trade experts believe that the numbers will only get better over the weekend for 96. Directed by C. Prem Kumar, 96 is a romantic tale between Ram and Janu played by Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan respectively. Going by the reviews, the story goes back and forth in time with a refreshing screenplay. The director is being lauded for the screenplay in the story and lead actors, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan are garnering appreciation from all around. 96 has passed the litmus test with flying colours and is currently the focal point in Kollywood, going by reports.
