The actor will shoot for a cameo in his home production film...
Aamir Khan is breaking his own rules. Even before Dangal’s release, Mr Perfectionist has started shooting for his next. According to a highly placed source, Aamir has started shooting for his untitled next — the formerly titled Secret Superstar — directed by his former manager, Advait Chandan, in Mumbai. The film marks Advait’s directorial debut. The film is currently untitled as the creative team is undecided about retaining the title going forward.
A source from the sets informs us, “Aamir has a small, but pivotal role in the film. He started shooting for the film on Tuesday. For the last few weeks, Aamir and Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari have been working on the music of the film at the former’s home in Panchgani. Aamir had committed those dates to him, so he requested Nitesh for eight days to complete the cameo in Advait’s film. Once he completes the shoot, Aamir will go back to the music sittings for Dangal.”
Aamir plays a music mentor in Advait’s film. This will be his second role as a teacher after Taare Zameen Par. The film revolves around a child and his mother. His wife, Kiran Rao has been involved in the day-to-day creatives and production side of the film, which has been extensively shot in Gujarat. Advait’s movie is an Aamir Khan Production.
Aamir Khan started the shooting of Dangal at the Akhada Leel near Toosa village in a new muscular look for the younger avatar of his character back in June. He also confirmed that the movie will release on December 23 as scheduled. "We are coming on Christmas weekend. We are not releasing our film on December 16. It will release on December 23, which is a Friday just two days before Christmas," he clarified.
The 51-year-old actor will essay the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat in the forthcoming biographical sports drama film.
Aamir, who bulked up to 95 kg earlier to play the ageing wrestler in the Nitesh Tiwari-directed film, followed a rigorous diet schedule to shed weight to show the younger version of the wrestler.
For his new younger look, which he shared with his fans on various social media platforms in June, the PK star took four to five months break. "When I came to Ludhiana, I was very fat. At that time we shot for the scenes where Mahavir has become old. 85 per cent of the film is about his that look only. Now we are shooting for the portion when Mahavir was young," Aamir said.
