November 14 is celebrated as Children's Day in India because it is India's first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru's birthday. He used to adore kids and was lovingly called as Chacha Nehru by them. Since Bollywood too has a lot of kiddie flicks like Masoom, Anjali, Halo, Hawaa Hawaai, Jajantram Mamantram, The Blue Umbrella, Chota Chetan etc we tell you a list of five films that's a must watch for you this Children's Day, irrespective of you being a child or an adult, these are the kind of films that should be there in everyone's movie library. Take a look.

Taare Zameen Par

1-25

The more I say is less for Aamir Khan's directorial debut. The film had a child as the lead and Khan played his mentor. The film very maturely dealt with the condition of Dyslexia and contrary to the norm, had the parents sit up and take notice of what they do wrong when bringing up a kid. And most important of all it told every parent that "Every Child Is Special".

Mr. India

3-12

Termed as India's first superhero, sci/fi, Mr. India is loved by one and all. But this film had more to it than just superhero element. The film was much loved for its portrayal of adult-child relationship and was also praised for its special effects. On the whole the film has it all, action, emotion, drama, message and most importantly, it has its heart at the right place. A perfect Children's Day watch.

Stanley Ka Dabba

4-12

We all have those teachers we love to hate and vice versa. This gem of a film is about one such teacher-student drama. On the outlook this film is about a snotty teacher who forcibly eats his students' lunch box and sets his eyes on Stanley who doesn't bring lunchbox to school. He orders Stanley to either brings his own "dabba" or never to come back to school ever again. But this film is more than just that and will surely leave you with a heavy heart at the end.

Chillar Party

5-12

You know when superstar like Salman Khan is backing a film, when youth icon like Ranbir Kapoor is performing a promotional song for the film, there's bound to be something special about it. This film showed us the power of innocence, the power of children. The film tells the story of unity and courage about a society where a group of children unites against a scheming politician who's hell bent on getting rid of the stray dogs. As they say sometimes it's takes an innocent child to teach us the value of relationship and warmth.
