The first half of the film is light, entertaining and impressive. Read the quick movie review of ABCD 2!
Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor's ABCD 2 has finally hit the theatres. The dancing flick, directed by Remo D'Souza is currently being reviewed by BollywoodLife's editot Tushar Joshi, who seems to have enjoyed the film so far. This is what he has to say about the first half:ABCD2 amplifies everything from its prequel. There is double drama, the cast is bigger, we have Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, the current favorites of the youth, Remo and Prabhudheva teaming up! So the expectations, are clearly more. Also the film is available in 3D, which gives the dance sequence an added edge. The first half revolves around Varun and his team of dancers who are disqualified in front of the entire country on a reality show for copying a dance routine from a Filipino group. What follows is their fight to clear their name and fly to Vegas to participate in an international dance conception. However the road to Vegas isn't easy.
There are plenty of dance numbers in the first half and the 3D is impressive in some sequences. However what stands out is the quality of choreography. This is super stuff, the formations and mix of different styles of dance definitely impresses. Also this isn't a sequel, it's a totally different story so even if you haven't seen the first film you won't need to catch up on the story line. Those who know the dance reality shows will identify the popular dancers Dharmesh and Punit who are part of Varun's troupe. There is ample humor and funny moments that are entertaining. The introductory scenes between Prabhu Dheva and Varun are hilarious. Also Shraddha Kapoor is revelation and has proved that she can dance to impress! The first half is light, entertaining and dance packed. Let's see what the second half has in store as the troupe is on its way to Vegas. Also Varun Dhawan's 8 pack abs look stellar in 3D!
