Abhay Deol and Brendon Fraser are coming together for a Gangster Thriller

Abhay Deol, and Brendan Fraser will come together in a crossover film titled "Line Of Descent". Earlier known as "The Field", the film is a crime drama that marks the debut of writer-director Rohit Karn Batra and also features Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi, Prem Chopra, and Ali Haji. According to unconfirmed sources, the film is about three sons of a mafia boss who are pitted against each other in a battle for control over the family crime business, even as an undercover cop plots their downfall. ZEE5 has acquired streaming rights of the film, which features a huge ensemble supporting cast including Vishesh Chachra, Gopal Dutt, Shiben Mohanty, Anisha Angelina Victor, Jagen Mohanty, Charlotte Poutrel, Harshad Kumar and Dev Bhagtani.

Pre-production for the project started in 2016 and filming began two months later. The film is shot in English and Hindi.

Taking to his Social handle, Abhay Deol shared the poster of Line of Descent with a caption that reads

I love it when an independent film (yes I’m still making them) of mine gets the promise of a good release! Not only is my film “Line Of Descent” but it will also get a US theatrical release by Gravitas Ventures on the 13th of December. This film is too racy and too real for an Indian theatrical unfortunately, but it will premier exclusively on Zee5 in India, the date is yet to be decided. It is Directed by Rohit Karn Batra and produced by @guylouthan.
Besides the fact that it has some very great actors like Brendan Fraser, Ronit Roy and Neeraj Kabi, I was most excited to see Mr. Prem Chopra on screen after such a long time. My grandmother used to say of Mr. Chopra, “he’s a villain in reel life but such a gentleman in real life”. And today I am in the same film as him.
