Fawad Khan has not just become the poster boy for the Pakistani artistes ban controversy, but his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is one movie that is facing the repercussions of the terrorist attacks on Indian soldiers in Uri. And the newest news on Fawad Khan and the ban is that the actor has been dropped from Vogue India cover. If reports are to go by then Fawad was to feature in the upcoming cover, however the publication decided to ditch the hero. We know that Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will soon be seen on mag covers and reality shows as a part of their film's promotion. Recently a Ranbir fanclub leaked a hot photoshoot of the actor with his senior co-star Aishwarya. The picture was steaming hot. Aishwarya in a white shirtdress boots is relaxing on RK Jr, while the latter cannot stop admiring the beauty's legs. We bet Fawad's clicks would have been equally hot had they made it to the cover.
On hearing this news we contacted Vogue India editor-in-chief Priya Tanna she rubbished all such speculations. Ms Tanna said, "It's not true. We never shot with him. It was always meant to be a women's cover." Vogue India put to rest all the speculation about Fawad being dropped from the cover at the nth minute. Considering that it is a women's cover, will we see Aishwarya or Anushka feature in it? Well, we will have to wait to find out. Not so long ago buzz was that the makers were under political pressure to replace the Pakistani artistes in their films. There was one online report that claimed that Karan Johar had planned to use Saif Ali Khan in place of Fawad in order to avoid delay in his film's release. However it was practically impossible to morph Saif's face on Fawad and the idea itself was pretty bizarre. Reports also suggested that Shah Rukh Khan's team Raees was on a lookout for a new face to replace Mahira Khan. But filmmaker Rahul Dholakia rubbished these rumours on his Twitter page.
Clearly every other day we have new stories around Fawad Khan, Mahira and their respective films. If there's any truth to Fawad being ousted from the Vogue cover shoot we will let you know. Until then do not forget to log on to BollywoodLife for the latest news from the world of entertainment!
