So the government has finally allowed Karan Johar to release his much awaited film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil this October 28, without any protests. Karan met Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and MNS chief Raj Thackeray in a crucial meeting today and assured that henceforth, he will never collaborate with Pakistani artistes. In fact, for the sake of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to get a stress free release, Karan has even agreed to donate a certain sum for the Army's welfare and release a video in honour of our Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Uri attacks. Indeed, Karan along with the entire producers Guild board has bowed down to the Indian government, hoping peace. But guess, Bollywood celebs are outright upset with the way how Karan had to eventually give up his self respect and bow down for his film's release. Yes! Also read: Breaking! As soon as it was pronounced that Raj Thackeray has agreed to make peace with Karan Johar and Bollywood only on the condition that they will never work with Pakistani actors again, Naseeruddin Shah took to social media and expressed his displeasure on this whole episode. He wrote, "I'm no fan of Karan Johar but I will definitely watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil because I feel that a creative person who wants to get work to be done needs to be supported. The government has also assured its support for the film. So I think that Karan should not have apologised and there was no need for him to plead so helplessly.
Not to mention, Karan Johar was accompanied by Mukesh Bhatt in taking this joint decision against the Pakistani actors. In fact, earlier this week Karan Johar had released a video statement stating, "Going forward, I would like to say that of course I will not engage with talent from the neighboring country given the circumstance but with that same energy I beseech you to know one thing… that over 300 Indian people in my crew have put their blood, sweat and tears into my film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and I don’t think it’s fair to them to face any kind of turbulence on account of other fellow Indians. I respect the Indian army, I salute the Indian army for everything they do to protect us in our environment. I respect them with all my heart, and I say that I condemn any form of terrorism, any form… and specially the terrorism that would affect my people in my country and me.” But if the situation change for good, it can happen."
