Here's a shocking report that you need to know right away...
We all know how Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan unexpectedly found themselves amidst controversy when The Indian Express revealed tax evasion schemes and money laundering by Mossack Fonseca a Panama based company. Although the Bachchans refuted any such allegations claiming they have paid all their taxes, but the infamous Panam Papers leak affirmed Amitabh and Aishwarya were very much involved with the Panamian firm before the foreign investment regulations were altered in India by the RBI. While the argument around that one is still on. The latest we hear is how Ajay Devgn too has been dragged into this scam. Yes!
As per reports, Ajay has purchased 1000 shares of Marylebone Entertainment Ltd, a British Virgin Islands company which was integrated in the year 2013. The company has been in the business of acquisition, distribution and exploitation of the overseas rights of Bollywood films. Speaking of which, word is that Ajay bought the shares in the name of his company Nysa Yug Entertainment, which is co-owned by his wife Kajol. He was permitted to act as the director of the company from October 31, 2013, before resigning from the post with effect from December 15, 2014.
It can be noted that Ajay has admitted to holding the said overseas account. In fact, he has further also stated that he has made proper disclosure about the same while filing tax returns. However, with the Panama Leak controversy, we wonder if his involvement in the scam is true or no. Stay tuned to BollywoodLife for more updates.
